About
Outshine sells premium advertising placement in India by open, competitive auction — and publishes what each live placement went for.
Outshine is an advertising placement marketplace. Publishers and surfaces list the inventory they have to sell — a homepage banner, a category slot, a search position, a day-part — as a placement with published terms: a reserve price, a bid increment, a number of positions and a period. Advertisers bid for it. Whoever values it most on the day gets it, at the price the auction cleared.
There is no rate card to negotiate against, no volume tier that only large buyers can reach, and no salesperson deciding who gets the good inventory. The mechanism is the same for everybody, and it runs on the server.
Premium advertising placement is scarce by definition — there is one homepage banner, not a thousand. Scarce inventory sold by negotiation gets allocated by relationship. Sold by auction, it gets allocated by how much it is worth to the buyer, which is the only allocation a new brand can compete in.
An auction also produces something a rate card cannot: a price. When every live placement’s clearing price is public, an advertiser deciding what to bid has real comparables instead of a number somebody quoted them.
Outshine sells placement. It does not sell organic ranking. Search results are ordered by text relevance and by each listing’s own measured click-through rate — a rate, never a volume — so spending more buys more measurement, not a higher position. A platform that sold both would be marking its own homework.
We also do not promise outcomes. A placement puts your brand in a specific position for a specific period, and that is what you are buying. Nobody on this platform will tell you what traffic, sales or revenue it will produce, because nobody selling placement can know that.
India. Prices are in Indian rupees, tax inclusive — a winning bid is the total the advertiser owes, and GST is backed out of it rather than added to it. The platform’s business timezone is IST, so a schedule that says 6pm means 6pm in Mumbai wherever you are reading from.
Every placement on Outshine is paid, and every one of them says so. A marketplace that sells attention and does not disclose it is the thing this platform exists to be an alternative to.

Clearing prices for live placements
Once a placement is on the page, what it sold for is public. A marketplace nobody can price cannot be trusted by the people paying for it.
Who holds what, right now
The leaderboard names the advertiser on every live placement — their creative is already on the page for anybody to see.
Nothing about an open auction
While bidding is open, the standing bid, the number of rivals and every bidder’s identity are withheld. A rival who could see the standing bid would know exactly what to add to it.
No forward book
A placement that has been awarded but has not started delivering does not appear. Naming a winner early would publish a schedule the platform never promised.
No advertiser spend league table
Advertisers are ranked by how many placements they hold, never by what they paid in total. Nobody signed up to have their spend ranked by the platform they buy from.
